LET THE CHILDREN COME TO ME (Mt 19:14)
“Train up the children in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not despair from it” Proverbs 22:6
MISSION:
The mission of the Ascension Faith Formation Program is to build a foundation of faith, in partnership with parents, from which our children and families will grow in their knowledge of God and the Roman Catholic Church. Through classroom education, Liturgical celebrations, and Sacramental Preparation, as well as social and service opportunities, our hope is that students and parents have opportunities to enrich their personal relationship with God.
Curriculum
Our Parish uses the Sadlier Christ in Us Series.
Christ In Us is a blended-learning catechetical program that integrates print and digital resources into a seamless religious education curriculum that supports parishes, and families. It is designed to be used flexibly in the context of busy lives. This blended approach to religious education ensures that all users can accompany one another as they connect with Christ In Us anytime, anywhere. Christ In Us was developed with the best-practices approach to formation, education, and innovation, always with Christ at the heart. The program is built on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (creed, sacraments, morality, and prayer), rooted in Tradition and Scripture, and authored by the wisdom of the community. It uses a learning framework, Understanding by Design, that considers how young people develop an enduring understanding of their Catholic Faith.
